In yesterday’s mid-term general elections, the town had one referendum/proposal included: to extend town commissioners’ terms to a staggered four-year cycle from the current “two-year, everybody runs” cycle.
1955 people voted for extending the terms for town commissioners to four years.
2591 people voted against the proposal.
About 1200 people cast ballots in the 2017 municipal election to select the existing board.
